Youth suspects arrested following collision in stolen vehicle

 

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 14-year-old male and 16-year-old female following a collision involving a stolen vehicle.

 

Shortly before 5 p.m. on October 2, 2025, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 600 block of Assumption Street. Through investigation, officers learned that a 14-year-old suspect had stolen a motor vehicle from Harrow and was driving it at a high rate of speed, almost striking pedestrians. The suspect then collided with another vehicle in the 600 block of Assumption Street.

 

The drivers of both vehicles sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries in the incident.

 

The suspect, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:

•             Possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000

•             Theft of a motor vehicle

•             Dangerous operation of a conveyance

 

A 16-year-old female passenger in the stolen vehicle, who cannot be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000. The passenger did not sustain physical injuries in the incident.
