Fatal vehicle collision under investigation
The Windsor Police Service is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on September 23, 2025, officers responded to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of Hanna Street East and Windsor Avenue. A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle travelling eastbound on Hanna St. E. drove through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle travelling northbound on Windsor Ave. The force of the impact pushed both vehicles toward the northeast corner of the intersection, where one of them struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian, a 58-year-old man, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The intersection remains closed as members of the Windsor Police Service Traffic Reconstruction Unit continue their investigation.
