Four injured, suspect arrested after house fire
UPDATE (Case # 25-92310): The 35-year-old suspect remains in medical care under police custody. His name is not being released to protect the identity of the victims.
He will face the following charges:
• Attempted murder (x 3)
• Arson with disregard for human life
• Break-and-enter
• Forcible confinement
• Possession of incendiary material for arson

Four injured, suspect arrested after house fire
A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a house fire in Windsor’s west end left four people, including the suspect, with serious injuries.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., officers responded to an active fire at a home in the 3600 block of Bloomfield Road. Windsor Fire & Rescue Services were also dispatched and extinguished the blaze.
All four individuals were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One of them, a 35-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and remains in medical care under police custody.
Bloomfield Road between Prince Road and Watkins Street has been closed until further notice as investigators with the Major Crimes Unit and Arson Unit examine the scene. Additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
