Motorist arrested after fleeing the scene of a collision
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 23-year-old man following a single-vehicle collision with a utility pole.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on August 9, 2025, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of
Howard Avenue and Eugenie Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that a black Dodge Charger had struck a utility pole, and the five occupants fled on foot.
Officers quickly located the individuals a short distance from the scene. While speaking with the male driver, officers detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and observed several signs of impairment. The motorist was arrested for impaired driving and transported to police headquarters, where he failed a breath test.
No one was injured as a result of the collision; however, the utility pole sustained severe damage.
Dorihan Crouchman, 23, is charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance
• Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit
• Failing to remain at the scene of a collision
• Failing to surrender driver’s licence – novice driver
• Failing to surrender insurance card
• Class G2 driver with a blood alcohol level over zero
