We are seeking a diverse group of dedicated individuals who have a strong interest in serving the community by becoming a member of the Windsor Police Service. Once you have attained your OACP Certificate (including Fitness Log, Daily Fitness Journal, and Hearing and Vision Assessment Forms), fill out the following documents to complete your application package.

Provide 2-3 reference letters. One should be from recent employment (within 2 years), and one should be from recent education (within 2 years - disregard if not applicable).

The Windsor Police Service believes, to be effective and efficient in the community, an applicant must understand the community demographics and needs. The WPS is looking for candidates who have demonstrated a commitment of service to our community. In order to achieve this, preference will be give to applicants who live within close proximity of the City of Windsor or have ties with Windsor by way of previous residence, attended school, or have family currently living in the community. WPS is looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of significant or substantive volunteer community involvement, specifically during the previous two years.

WPS offers its members an excellent salary and benefit package. Salaries are paid on a graduated scale, based on length of service. The annual constable salary ranges from $64,263 to $115,727 but an annual promotional process allows you to transition to a higher rank. Base salary can also increase if the officer works overtime, court time, statutory holidays, or voluntary contract duty.
